MDT
Hi all you MDTers!
Great that you are thinking of coming back. Just a reminder that MDT is a program that requires volunteer credits to qualify for the next level.
Ministry Development Training is a three year program that builds into the lives of youth through Biblical Teaching, Leadership Training and focussed Team Building exercises. These are all designed to challenge the participants in their thinking and motivation as well as their understanding of group dynamics and their place within that group.
MDT occurs not only at The Quest but should continue in the participants home church. MDTers are encouraged to be active in their local congregations through volunteering their time. This is in fact a prerequisite for all returning MDTers. Examples of volunteer hours (credits) are:
- working as a youth leader on a weekly basis
- being part of the worship ministry
- working for a church affiliated charity (soup kitchen)
- volunteering in the children’s department
- Mission trip leader or participant
